ECA Group has signed a contract for the supply and installation of Mistral 4000 navigation simulator class B Portable with Otec Ciceron (Instruccion y Capacitacion Maritima) in Valparaiso ,Chile.
Otec Ciceron is a Technical Training Institute that offers Maritime Training Courses in technical improvement in the international maritime trade activity. The aim of Otec Ciceron is to create an integrated service of training that meets the requirements of their customers, and enhance their professional capacities.
The ECA Group Mistral 4000 portable solution has been specifically designed to meet the OTEC Ciceron's need to use the simulator for out-of-school training activities. To do so, the proposed solution provides one "own ship" Class B DNV configuration installed in Ciceron' s premises, in integrated mode, two portable stations (installed on a laptop and notebooks) and one portable "instructor" workstation independently for out-of-school training activities (portable simulator).
The ECA Group Simulator System is an interactive multifunctional bridge simulator, used for training activities as maneuvering techniques in a realistic and dynamic environment. Mistral 4000 Simulator navigation simulator class B Portable contains, in simplified form, the same elements and the same capabilities of a "Full Mission " simulator bridge and it simulates all types of navigation and maneuvering in different environmental conditions.
The proposed system is composed by a virtual bridge simulator with simulation conning monitor, an external view, Radar ARPA, a GPS cartographic simulator, fully integrated into the system.
Next steps will be the installation and the acceptance test of Mistral 4000 Simulator System. ECA Group will continue working with Otec Ciceron Institute, in order to maintain the high quality level of its trainees and give to the Institute the possibility to perform advanced training for professional seafarers in the next future.
