The school Leonardo da Vinci is a new ECA Group customer, which have chosen the ECA Group multi-functional interactive bridge simulator ShipSim, a desktop workstation for IMO navigation courses, including an instructor station and two student workstations.
ECA Group ShipSim is an interactive desktop-based bridge simulator, which allows the learning of maneuvering techniques in a realistic and dynamic environment.
The aim of this type of configuration used for educational activities is to respond to the need of the institute for the creation of digital environments for learning key skills in the context of the virtual navigation system.
In order to ensure more realistic training, the instructor can create, manage, edit and control the exercises, while students from their workstation can manoeuvre the assigned vessel using the ship controls and simulated instruments (ARPA radar, cartography, GPS and virtual communications).
The Mistral 4000 simulation system is certified and conforms to the 2010 STCW regulations and allows additions and expansions over time
