In late September 2016 took place, at ECA Group premises in Nantes, the Factory Acceptance Tests of the new Control & Monitoring System for the electrical power plant of Charles De Gaulle Nuclear Aircraft Carrier.

The contract of modernization of this Control & Monitoring system, signed in December 2014 between DCNS and ECA Group, aims at replacing the old system by the new generation of OPSYS system developed by ECA Group.

This new solution allows to increase the performance of the system while keeping all existing interfaces and operating modes.

The purpose of the Factory Acceptance Tests was to demonstrate on a representative simulated electrical plant platform that the new Control & Monitoring system meets all performances and safety requirements to manage this critical installation of the ship.

The FAT was successfully conducted with DCNS and Navy representatives’ attendance.

The final acceptance will be confirmed after onboard installation and sea trials of the new Control & Monitoring System next year.
