ECA Group will be exposing its advanced B737NG Touch Screen Trainer at upcoming WATS in May. This state-of-the-art simulation training device will be used for B737NG Type Rating training, and will enhance trainees’ flight experience on a cutting-edge platform.
Resilience acquired during training shall be improved through a great range of training tasks (normal and abnormal procedures) feasible on the device. The training device is a perfect tool for instructor-led training programs, or as a non-instructor-supported training tool, set as a stand-alone training aid for students.
This new generation procedure trainer is to be certified up to FAA Level 5, or under EASA CS-FSTD(A) FTD Level 1. With this intended certification, up to half of a type rating training will be performed on ECA Group B737NG Touch Screen Trainer instead of upscale Full Flight Simulators. This shall greatly reduce the overall cost of a type-rating for our customers, whilst keeping the same level of accuracy and quality into their training syllabus.
Specific attention has been brought to realism of most critical hardware replicas, in order to meet both customers and aviation authorities’ expectations for this level of training device. Feedback from a wide range of ECA Group’s Touch Screen Trainers users was particularly considered while conceiving this new generation of Flat Panel Trainer.
Moreover, the Training Device has been designed in order to be field-upgradeable to B737 MAX, anticipating training programs’ potential conversion.
ECA Group B737NG procedure trainer will be presented at WATS (World Aviation Training Symposium) held in Orlando, USA, on next May 2nd to 4th, 2017. It will be revealed through an opening ceremony at the beginning of the symposium and will be accessible from there on to demonstration. Come to check out your ability to fly a new generation cockpit procedure trainer.
