ECA Group, naval simulation division, in its premises in Genova, received the customary visit of RINA, the Italian Naval Register for the renewal of the ISO 9001:2008 company Quality management system certification.
The ISO 9001 are standards addressing various aspects of quality management. The standards provide guidance and tools for companies willing to ensure that their products and services are consistently meeting customer’s requirements.
After the accurate exam of the whole set of documents and procedures, RINA confirmed that the adopted Quality management system is effectively meeting the requirements of the certification and is efficiently adopted by the company.
During the last 20 years, ISO 9001:2008 Certification, the flagship Quality Management Systems standard of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), allowed to improve ECA Group’s ability to meet customer expectations and satisfaction, as well as the process approach.
The renewal for the certification of the quality management system is nowadays mandatory for the correct evidence of the adopted standards for the entry of products and services in the market and allows increasing the visibility and competitiveness of the Company.
The new challenge now is to actively work on the adoption of the new ISO 9001:2015 standards to be ready for the relevant certification by April 2018.
