ECA Group CAMELEON E>Counter-Explosives robots (already in service in Route Clearance & Explosives Ordnance Disposal Military Units) were presented to the French Military Infantry troops as innovative Solutions for Combat Support.
These ECA Group Land Robots provide assistance for various Tactical Missions :
- Reconnaissance
- Specific Actions such as Explosive Charge Dropping
- Door Opening that are great support in Urban Area Combat
As part of the operational concepts, the future developments aim to increase autonomous processes for the soldier's comfort to use the UGV, by simply giving orders to it such as "follow me", "go there", "open the door" etc.
These intelligent & navigational capabilities will also be reinforced through the current ECA Group project for humanoid robotics including bipedal and quadrupedal UGVs, ever increasing their capabilities to pass obstacles and move in spaces where current robots are hampered by their wheels or tracks.

Equipped with many sensors and disruptors, this robotic solution enable to take well-informed decision to neutralize a potential dirty bomb combining CBRNE material with Explosives.
About Cobra MK2 I - Unmanned Ground Vehicle
The Cobra MK2 I is a Field Proven Small sized UGV equipped with day and night cameras can that perform intelligence and reconnaissance operations.
This UGV can be easily deployed by a dismounted soldier and remotely controlled on field thanks to its ultra light operator control unit.
