ECA Group has been awarded for the supply of simulation upgrade and expansion to the already existing ECA Group Mistral 4000 Simulator of Nautical Institute "Euclide- Caracciolo" in Bari.
Upgrades & new features
The intervention consists in the restoration of the main simulator with the upgrade and integration of new features on the existing system already installed in the Institute’s premises:
With the new upgrade to the latest software version and hardware technology, the institute will have the capability to carry out a more realistic immersive training; the update allows the use of Navigation Simulator for the supply of the approved IMO courses.
In order to ensure more realistic training, the instructor can create, manage, edit and control the exercises, while students from their workstation can maneuver the assigned vessel using the ship controls and simulated instruments:
- Cartography
- GPS
- Virtual communications
The ECA Group Simulation System has been certified by the Italian Naval Register RINA and compliant with the requirements for the professional STCW courses, Manila amendments.
ECA GROUP will continue working with the Nautical Institute"Euclide- Caracciolo" in the future, in order to maintain the high quality level of its trainees and give to the Institute the possibility to perform advanced training for professional seafarers in the next future.

The Institute of Higher Secondary Education "Euclide" was founded in 1982 as a Technical Institute for Surveyors.
In the following years, the school expanded with the unification of the historic Nautical Technical Institute "Francesco Caracciolo", founded in 1856, with the Reform of the Technical Education, I.I.S.S.
