ECA Group was awarded a contract with Exxplore, a major German service company for the inspection of deep boreholes. ECA Group will provide a BH Viewer 500, a borehole inspection TV system.
ECA Group's BH Viewer 500 system allows the introduction of a sophisticated colour TV camera and associated lights into the borehole up to 500m depth. Thanks to its swivelling head equipped with lasers, the TV camera permits a thorough inspection of the borehole lateral walls, as well a measurement of cracks and defects directly from the video; the system can also incorporate sensors for the inclination and trajectory measurement of the borehole during the TV inspection.
Furthermore, a dedicated reporting software allows the edition of the inspection report.
This contract illustrates the ECA Group ability to enter the highly competitive German market for borehole inspection.
