ECA Group, through its Aerospace division and subsidiary ELTA, has been early October 2017 granted COSPAS SARSAT type approval for its latest range of 406 MHz Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT's) for both Automatic Fixed and Survival applications.
ELiTe also received both official EASA/FAA agreements. it's now certified as per :
ETSO-C126b (ELT specifications) - ETSO-C142a (battery performance and safety mandatory required for ETSO-C126b).
About COSPAS-SARSAT certification
COSPAS-SARSAT type approval ensures that the radio beacon signal is correctly received by the satellite and relayed to Search And Rescue system.
