The tested configuration was the ECA Group UGV in its CBRN configuration. The Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) was equipped with the AP4C, the chemical sensor used by the French Army, and a sample device.

During the assessment, the STAT tested the mobility of the UGV, the functionality of the payloads and the use of the UGV. As a result, the technicians underlined the great mobility of the UGV. Indeed, the capacity of the UGV increases the investigation area since the UGV can climb stairs (floor and basement) and clear high obstacles. The progress of the UGV is also facilitated by the Pan & Tilt video camera and its high resolution. All the data collected by the UGV are displayed in real time on the control station screen.

With regards to the payloads, the integration of the AP4C and sampling collector module on the CAMELEON C is a success and guarantees an accomplished mission in the framework of CBRN operations. In fact, the integration of payloads on the platform is very easy and quick, thanks to the hot-plug system: a major asset in an emergency.

Aiming to support security forces all around the world, ECA Group designs and produces high technology robotic solutions in order to reduce human exposure. The CAMELEON C is one of its solutions for CBRN operations.
