ECA Group maritime training simulation system was already present in Hong Kong with two full mission bridge simulators, mutually connected for the training of Hong Kong Marine Department seafarers, bridge teams and maritime Commanding Officers.
The full mission bridge simulator, MISTRAL 4000 class was including a complete set of maritime type approved equipment in a realistic bridge replica.
With the new upgrade to the latest software version, Hong Kong Marine Department will have the possibility to perform the training on 3 different bridge simulators, using the latest software and hardware technology for an immersive realistic training.
The main bridge simulator will host a new manoeuvring console for the training on cruising ship models. The new console will be an additional console that will automatically turn on when the cruising ship model will be uploaded in the exercise.
The system upgrade is also including the integration in the simulation system of real type approved ARPA radars of different brands, stimulated by ECA Group simulation engine, in order to train radar operators with the real equipment they will use on board of the real ship during their professional lives.
The new MISTRAL 4000 bridge simulation system will maintain the Hong Kong Marine Department training level at the highest standards for the next years.
