The Gaps Series, with its embedded gyroscope and 3D omnidirectional acoustic antenna, offers 200° acoustic aperture and true horizontal tracking without the need to tilt the antenna. It operates flawlessly from shallow waters to depths of 7,000 meters, ideal for 360° tracking of multiple ROVs and AUVs.

True calibration-free systems
With built-in gyro and motion sensors, the Gaps M5 and M7 systems eliminate the need for external sensors or on-site calibration, offering true calibration-free operation and significant time savings in the field.
One system for positioning and communication
The Gaps Series combines precise positioning and advanced acoustic telemetry for seamless communication, supporting message transmission to multiple UUVs, INS re-alignment, sensor data retrieval, LBL array calibration with Exail Canopus transponders, and AUV command and control.
Easy to deploy
The compact Gaps Series is simple to install and operate, with embedded motion sensors for immediate use. Quick to deploy from over-the-side poles, stingers, or confined spaces, their compact and lightweight design allows use on small vessels with minimal crew or on instrumented buoys.
Third-party friendly for easy integration
With an open architecture, the Gaps Series is compatible with iXblue and third-party transponders, ensuring easy integration into existing equipment. It interfaces effortlessly with most widely used navigation software, making Exail's USBL systems simple to integrate and use.
