ECA GROUP delivered to SA BIOTECH based in Johannesburg, an order for a Pipe Cruiser system and a Z Pipe Viewer TV system for inspection in pipes and water boreholes.
Both will be used as demonstration systems for local service companies involved in waste water networks inspection in South Africa.
ECA GROUP also provided the SA BIOTECH staff a preliminary technical and marketing training in its premises in France.
About ECA Group Z PIPE VIEWER MK2
Z Pipe Viewer is a light and portable system without trolley, permitting a swift inspection, directly from a manhole, of pipes with diameter from 100 to 800 mm: the operator introduces into the manhole a pole equipped with a powerful zoom TV camera + associated lights, in order to view the pipe over on distance up to 30 m, in both directions. This operation is done extremely rapidly, and has over the traditional systems (with trolley) the advantage of not requiring the preliminary pipe hydro-cleaning operation (the progression of a trolley over long distances implying that the pipe is perfectly clean).
About ECA Group Pipe Cruiser system
Traditional way of running an overall inspection of a waste water pipe is to introduce inside the pipe an electric trolley carrying the TV inspection camera over a large distance into the pipe, in order to detect anomalies, such as cracks or pipe deformation.
For that market, GROUP offers its Pipe Cruiser system permitting the inspection of sewer pipes (with internal diameter from 150 to 1800mm) over a distance up to 500m
