Polarizing Fibers
Exail’s Polarizing (PZ) fiber, featuring a specialized waveguide design and optimized glass composition, rapidly suppresses all polarization states except the guided one. With a broad polarizing window, low attenuation, and a high extinction ratio (≥ 30 dB) across multiple wavelengths, PZ fibers excel in applications such as quantum optics, cold atom experiments, all-fiber polarizers, fiber-optic current sensors, and gyroscopes. Standard PM Fibers
Exail offers a selection of standard PM fibers covering wavelengths from 350 nm to 2300 nm, featuring a 125 µm cladding diameter. These fibers provide high birefringence, excellent polarization-maintaining properties, low attenuation, and strong resistance to solarization. Customized coatings and wavelengths are available upon request. They are widely used in applications such as coherent beam delivery, delay lines, diode and modulator pigtails, fiber optic sensors, gyroscopes, instrumentation, Lyot depolarizers, and other polarization-sensitive components.
