Fully dynamic, the detection, tracking,characterization and avoidance capabilities can run in the background in full autonomy. Should operators need it, the process can also be set manually, case by case, allowing for maximum flexibility.
A unique three-dimensional coverage delivers a clear, geo-referenced picture for optimal obstacle avoidance from the surface to the seabed.
Requires minimal inputs (only power and navigation data) and integrates a Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) system for autonomous evaluation.
Water column coverage FROM SURFACE TO SEABED
Beyond its long detection range and high accuracy, the SeapiX-FLS provides an unprecedented, detailed scan of the entire water column—from the surface to the sea bottom. Thanks to its innovative, electronically steerable Mills Cross antennas, the system utilizes four different types of swaths to thoroughly inspect the marine environment and track identified targets for confirmation. Each detection is mapped in real-time within the surrounding environment and can be displayed in 2D or 3D via Exail’s operator-oriented MMI, while also being autonomously transmitted to external systems. This ultimately provides crews with a crystal-clear picture of what lies ahead, both at the surface and subsea.
A FLS for all vessels and drones
The SeapiX-FLS offers a scalable solution that can be mounted on all crewed and uncrewed surface and subsea vehicles. It can be integrated on:
- Hulls
- Hoisting systems
- Gondolas
Specific integration can be discussed between integrators, shipbuilders and Exail.

SeapiX-FLS IHM
Enhanced Navigation Safety:
The system generates a real-time obstacle detection probability map. This crucial decision-making tool allows the crew to adapt the vessel's speed to the underwater environment, ensuring maximum safety for both the crew and the ship.
Centralized Multi-Sonar Operations:
To maximize detection coverage, multiple SeapiX-FLS sonars can be installed on a single vessel. Thanks to a user-friendly and single interface (MMI), the operator can simultaneously view and manage all centralized data with zero added complexity.
