iXblue kicks off with Airbus Defence and Space, the DLR and ETH Zurich the European project EURISA
The EU-funded EURISA project is developing a European cost-effective and performant IMU based on fibre optic gyroscopes and quartz accelerometers for future space missions.
The project will rely on current developments advanced by its four partners (Airbus Defence & Space, ETH Zurich, DLR Bremen and iXblue), further developing and assembling components to produce the future European IMU. EURISA will test the model in space environments, measure and validate its inertial performances, and deliver crafted hybridisation algorithms to provide optimal navigation performance.
