Formerly he worked at BMT Aerospace as Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for Sales, Marketing and Program Management. Before, he was a Vice-President in Esterline’s Rugged & ATC, Avionics and Control & Communication businesses. Esterline had acquired the defense & aerospace business of Barco in 2014, a deal in which he was instrumental. Earlier he held various strategy, sales and marketing positions at Barco.
Steven has more than 25 years of experience in the Aerospace, Defense and Media markets. Earlier in his career he managed Barco’s Asia-Pacific office in Malaysia.
Steven Luys has a university degree in electronic engineering from University Ghent, has an MBA from Vlerick Management School, and is a Commercial Pilot. He is based in Belgium, married with three children.
