The Community Rehabilitation Service Support Center (CRSSC) is a specialized centre that connects patients with special needs to the innovative and interdisciplinary applications of technology for advancing ability. One of their key services include Driver Rehabilitation.
In January 2021, ECA GROUP delivered a driving simulation solution, an EF-Car Rehab for the benefits of the Hong Kong patients. The goal is to provide patients with advanced technology allowing to experience again the sensations of driving and prepare their rehabilitation.
Rehabilitating a patient to driving can be complicated after an accident, trauma or when it comes to dealing with disability. It is thus necessary for medical crews to assess patient' state before giving a go on driving resumption.
EF-CAR Rehab is a complete simulation solution assisting medical crews in drawing a complete physical assessment of a patient to provide a complete therapeutic programme : All aspects (motor - reaction - cognitive - visual - affective and behaviour) can be throughouly checked for the medical and therapist crews to decide whether or not starting the rehabilitation process.
As no rehabilitation is the same and requires specific equipment, ECA GROUP offers modular simulators to accomodate all types of disability. Easily integrating a wide range of rehabilitation equipment, EF-CAR Rehab allows patients and medical crews to test out which equipment is the most suitable for each indidivual patient. It allows to train in near-to-real conditions with real replica equipment that will be later fitted onto the patient's vehicle.
