ECA Group was awarded a contract by SSF (Fleet Support Service), a service of the French Navy, the corrective and preventive maintenance contract of the H2000 "Diomede" ROV used by CEPHISMER (Diving and Intervention Unit), initially supplied by ECA Group in 2011.
This service contract aims to guarantee the complete availability of CEPHISMER equipment, as it can be deployed anytime according to the needs of the French Navy. A high availablity (HA) contract states that any dysfunction shall be corrected within 48h.
Through this 2-year-long maintenance contract, the "Diomede" H2000 Remotely Operated Vehicle will undergo:
- Major component replacement to ensure an extended lifespan of the product
- Minor upgrades
This awarding was the result of an invitation to bid lead by SSF and now confirms the trust placed by CEPHISMER in the efficiency and reliability of ECA Group' robotic systems.

About CEPHISMER (Center for diving and underwaters operation)
Attached to the French Navy, the this military center of expertise is notably responsible for all human diving operations and warfare underwater interventions.
CEPHISMER has many facilities in Toulon, to carry out is missions, ranging from remote-controled vehicles (ROV) in the field of Robotics to scuba divers.
H2000 Diomede ROV within CEPHISMER
ECA Group designed its H2000, later renamed "Diomede" by CEPHISMER, to participate in military missions such as assistance to a submarine in distress, search or recovery of aircraft, or search for objects at sea.
H2000 Diomede was used to perform a various range of missions, from inspection of wrecks to the lifting of several tonnes heavy objects up to 2000 meters deep.
In permanent alert, the robot is projectable on the French coasts or in the world in very short delays.
About ECA Group's H2000 ROV
H2000 is a Work Class ROV System developed by ECA Group for subsea inspection and assistance up to 2000 m depths. It is a ROV solution well-suited for Well, Mooring or Riser inspection and cleaning.
ECA Group H2000 ROV is modular and easily configured. It can be equipped with a variety of manipulator arms and tools, a wide range of sonars and any type of sensors.
