  • NATO standards compliant for acoustic and magnetic signature discretion to perform missions without triggering the smartest mines.

Seascan, a smart ROV for subsea inspection

High-resolution imaging

Seascan comes equipped with high-definition camera and a forward-looking sonar for target reacquisition. Additionally, its three selectable high-performance cameras enable efficient close-up inspections down to 300 meters depth.

Maneuverable and easy to deploy

Thanks to multidirectional thrusters and precise control mechanisms, the Seascan can navigate through complex underwater environments, granting operators access to previously inaccessible areas. Its lightweight and portability make it adaptable for deployment on various surface vessels or dedicated Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS), allowing seamless integration with Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) for deployment.

Power and technology for the most demanding missions

A battery-powered ROV

The Seascan operates using a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, harnessing real-time sensor data via a slender optical fiber. Unlike traditional ROVs relying on umbilicals for power, Seascan is unrestricted by these limitations. The battery has been sized to allow for multiple successive inspections without interruption.

An asset for mine identification missions

The Seascan, as a reusable identification vehicle, is designed to identify underwater objects or mines. Enhancing operator ease and mission efficiency, it incorporates auto-depth and auto-track modules. These features automate the ROV's path to navigate towards the object/ mine to be identified.

A key part of the UMIS
MCM turnkey solution

The Seascan Mine Identification system ROV seamlessly integrates into a collaborative drone system like Exail’s UMIS. All operations, from planning to management and analysis, are unified within the user-friendly Umisoft interface software. This allows for the simultaneous deployment and recovery of multiple drones throughout the various phases of Mine Countermeasures operations.
